Elena Larrauri is Professor of Criminal Law and Criminology at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra de Barcelona and is a past President of the European Society of Criminology (2007-2010). ABSTRACT: Elena argues that in Europe there is increasing use of criminal records screening and discusses the reasons and consequences for the increased use of criminal record screening.
