Very few studies on domestic abuse have targeted diverse and marginal populations such as South Asian women to bring their experiences into view. It is within this space that the Diversifying Justice project responds with a goal of coming to appreciate the “individual and structural factors” which shape South Asian women’s everyday lived realities and help-seeking practices during and following domestic abuse. This project builds on this context, and presents the key findings of our empirical research into this topic, and offers 22 recommendations for improving understandings and practice in this area.
