This group is for anyone interested in, using or even sceptical of ethnographic research methods in any area of research, criminological or otherwise. We meet about every 6-8 weeks (in Glasgow) to discuss suggested readings of articles, chapters and books. We have begun to consider presenting our own work as a way of learning about a variety of ethnographic methods in different contexts, and to explore developing a joint writing project. This webpage aims to provide a resource for those interested in ethnography in social science research. Currently it contains a list of all the readings we have done and which have been suggested for future meetings. Please email s.armstrong@lbss.gla.ac.uk for suggestions on additions to this website or questions about coming along to a meeting.
