Mary Fraser is a social researcher, for the last 15 years working on the history of police work in Britain.

Her current interest is in the extended social role of the police, particularly during the First World War. She held senior academic and public appointments in England and Scotland along with research grants and awards. She is an experienced international public speaker and presenter.
