The Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research has recently updated its Learning Resource for Schools.

These briefings, which were originally prepared by Dr Rebecca Foster and Greg Duncan, have become a popular source of information for Modern Studies teachers and students alike. We have received numerous emails from teachers over the years to let us know how valuable they are so we wanted to ensure they were given a refresh and update.

Over the last few months colleagues here at SCCJR have been updating statistics, case studies and reading suggestions.

The 14 briefings reflect some of the most popular topics that will form excellent background information to help write assignments and complete project work. These resources do not cover the entire Modern Studies curriculum, but are linked specifically to popular areas of research tied to the curriculum.

This resource will continue to be populated throughout the year with further briefings of interest.
