The work of SCCJR Research Assistant Christos Tsirogiannis has received extensive press coverage after The Scotsman reported on auction house Christie’s withdrawing auction lots for sales amid concerns about links to organised crime. Christos, who is a member of the Trafficking Culture team, described how he discovered four Christie’s lots catalogued in the confiscated archives of Giancomo Medici and Gianfranco Becchina, and warned the auction house was failing to carry out “due diligence”.
