Teesside University has established 5 Research Institutes in key areas of research strength. These institutes provide a clear focus for research development and a platform upon which to build the University’s growing reputation for research excellence. We now wish to recruit key researchers to drive forward the development of the Institutes. The Social Futures Institute wishes to build on existing successful research in the area of Social Policy and appoint a Professor to contribute to this. We are looking for an individual committed to high quality academic publication and research income generation, who also has a commitment to the principle of influencing policy and practice at local, regional and national levels. Applications are particularly welcome from individuals with a focus on, or interests in, any of the following areas: criminology/criminal justice; social exclusion; community cohesion; sustainable communities; and the policy process.
