We are seeking the views and experiences of women musicians on sexual violence and harassment in the Scottish folk music scene.

This is for a study being conducted by researchers at the University of Glasgow, funded by a small internal grant.

Paralleling similar industries, we’ve heard many conversations about the ongoing challenges women folk musicians face. We hope this research will help develop better understanding and awareness, and support pathways to change.

We are keen to hear from women musicians, aged 18 years or over, who are/were previously involved in the Scottish folk music scene. Women who have worked/been involved in the Scottish folk music scene in other ways can also participate.

Participation in this research is via a short confidential online questionnaire, available at the link below. The questionnaire is open for responses until Wednesday 9th July.

Please do share amongst your networks or with anyone who you think might be interested, we are keen to engage with as many diverse voices and experiences as possible. Thank you.
