The Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research’s podcast Just Humans is back!

We have four episodes this season which kicks off today with a conversation all about family with Dr Cara Jardine, University of Strathclyde, and our Director Dr Ali Fraser.

Cara and Ali talk about family as a verb, what prisons can do to help families connect and we hear Sophie’s story who is a young mum trying to keep her family together while Kian is in prison.

Cara’s latest book is called ‘Families, Imprisonment and Legitimacy: The Cost of Custodial Penalties’.

You can listen to this episode to wherever you normally get your podcasts – Apple, Google, Spotify – search for ‘Just Humans’.

This season we will also feature conversations with Dr Lisa Bradley and Dr Nughmana Mirza, Dr Hannah Graham and Dr Ben Collier.
