The Scottish Association for the Study of Offending (SASO), in conjunction with SCCJR, awards an annual essay prize open to students of criminology and/or criminal justice. This year’s contest is open to Masters students at any Scottish university.
The £250 prize will be awarded at the SASO Conference to be held at Dunblane Hydro on November 13 and 14, to which the prize winner will be invited as a guest. The winning essay will also be published in the Scottish Journal for Criminal Justice Studies.
There is no application form, but submissions of up to 4,000 words, clearly marked SASO Student Essay Prize, should be submitted by e-mail to enquiries@www.sccjr.ac.uk Entries should include the student’s name, contact details and current course of study. The closing date for submissions is 20th September 2015 and the adjudicators will decide the winner in October 2015.
