PfP RBS winners photoPaws the Progress, the prison-based dog training programme established by SCCJR PhD student Rebecca Leonardi, has won funding from the Royal Bank of Scotland’s Skills & Opportunities Fund.

The innovative project is one of 44 winners in the latest funding round, for which there were more than 900 entries, so this is a terrific achievement and great endorsement for the project.

The bank is committed to funding “projects that will leave a lasting legacy for the people we share a community with”. In particular they look for a measurable social impact, to know the work is making  a real difference in disadvantaged communities.

RBS fundRebecca said: “We are absolutely delighted that Paws for Progress is one of the winners of the RBS Skills and Opportunities Fund; we would like to thank both RBS and all of our supporters who voted for Paws and made this possible. We look forward to using this grant to help unleash the potential of the young people we work with.”
