GlassWalls, a collaborative community art project, launches this month.
The stained glass art installation aims to raise awareness of domestic abuse and creatively reflects the research findings of Dr Emma Forbes, University of Glasgow, on how victims of domestic abuse experience the justice process in Scotland.
The installation will launch during 16 Days of Action for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, exhibiting in the Scottish Parliament week commencing 25th November, with a cross-party debate at 5pm on Wednesday 27th November.
It will then be in Glasgow City Chambers 2nd – 6th December, with an official launch on Wednesday 4th December. Between 9th – 13th December, it will be in Crown Office, Edinburgh. Thereafter, it will display in St Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral for the remainder of advent, before resuming its tour in 2020.
