SCCJR is leading a team evaluating Football Banning Orders in Scotland. The research has been commissioned by the Scottish Government and will be conducted between June and December 2010.
The purpose of the evaluation is to consider the operation of the football banning order legislation to date and make recommendations to improve its use and effectiveness. The project is being led by Niall Hamilton-Smith and also involves SCCJR’s Claire Lightowler and Ben Bradford, Dave McArdle (University of Stirling), Nick Tilley (UCL), Matt Hopkins(Matrix Knowledge) and Justin Kurland (UCL).
