13th December 2012

This year’s Anne Peaker lecture will formally launch the Arts Alliance online Evidence Library. The Evidence Library is an online catalogue and research tool showcasing arts-based evaluations within the Criminal Justice System.

The launch will be followed by a lecture by Fergus McNeill, Professor of Criminology & Social Work at the University of Glasgow. We have invited Fergus to talk about evidence and evaluations in relation to his pioneering work on desistance theory. In 2011 Fergus co-authored a paper entitled ‘Inspiring Desistance? Arts projects and what works?’, which examined how arts based projects can contribute to the current debate on measuring offenders’ intermediate outcomes on their journey to lead crime-free lives.
