UmbrellaAlistair Fraser of the (Re)Imagining Youth team has written an article for The Scotsman on the politicisation of young people in Hong Kong, where he was working when the Umbrella Movement emerged, and Scotland before and after the independence referendum. Read the article here.

This week sees the launch of an exhibition, (Re)Imagining Youth: From Glasgow to Hong Kong, at The Bridge, Easterhouse, which bring together images from the groundbreaking work of sociologist Pearl Jephcott in the 1960s with contemporary illustration and photography about youth culture.

The exhibition runs from November 7 to 14, and a launch event on Wednesday November 11 incorporates a seminar by Professor John Goodwin of the University of Leicester on ‘Searching for Pearls: Reflections on Researching the Life and Work of Pearl Jephcott’.
