SCCJR’s Alasdair Forsyth was recently interviewed for an article about methodrone in the New Scientist about his work ondrug related moral panics. Alasdair’s 10-year review of drug deaths in Scotland was reported, which showed that the chances of newspapers reporting a death from an overdose of paracetamol (acetaminophen) was 1 in …250, a death from amphetamine was 1 in 3 and that every death from ecstasy was reported.
