Welcome to the 2020 mini-festival supported by the Department of Sociology at Manchester Metropolitan University and curated by staff from the university’s Policy Evaluation and Research Unit (PERU).
We’ve gone virtual – while keeping true to our mission – screening great films which provoke debate and provide an alternative take on crime, justice and punishment in the 21st century.
In partnership with the arts in criminal justice charity Koestler Arts we are celebrating artistry, dedication and the power of imagination by showing three Koestler Arts award-winning mini-films made by patients at secure institutions across England.
Our virtual festival-in-an-afternoon will take place on Tuesday 14th July 17.00 to 18.15.
Book your ticket on Eventbrite to watch a live streaming of the films followed by a Q and A on the making of the films with a patient and staff from the institutions.
