Scottish Child Law Centre Annual Conference: Children and Young People in the Digital Age
Protected, Respected and Supported? Ensuring that law, policy and practice in Scotland is fit for purpose
Scottish Child Law Centre Annual Conference

It is becoming increasingly challenging for professionals, legislators and policy makers to keep up with the impact of technology and social media. This is particularly stark in relation to sexual offending by and against children, where concerns have been expressed that legal mechanisms to respond to youth produced sexual images deter children and young people from seeking help. Our 2018 Conference takes a critical look at the legal position and whether provision for non-legal responses such as education and mental health support are meeting the needs of Scotland’s children and young people.
