Making Connections Matter

16th – 17th May ‘Making Connections Matter’: an opportunity for engagement and debate organised by and for SCCJR PhD students

This special event will be held at Peebles Hydro, Peebles (http://www.peebleshydro.co.uk/index.html) starting at 10am on Friday 16th May and finishing at 12:00 on Saturday 17th May, 2014. The focus and delivery of the two-day event will be around starting conversations and enabling discussion. After consultation with postgraduates from across SCCJR, the main topics for discussion will surround (but will not be limited to) the following: researching sensitive topics; public engagement; managing research crises; linking theory with practice; and building CVs.

Outbound journey details:

The bus will depart from outside the Adam Smith Building on Friday 16th May no later than 8.15am so please do aim to arrive for 8am.

Return journey details:

The bus will return on Saturday 17th May around 12noon and should arrive in Glasgow by 1.30pm.
