HCPC registered Consultant Clinical and Forensic Psychologist, Trustee of Samaritans, and a Non-executive Director for a large mental health trust. Until 2016, she was clinical director of a large and successful NHS forensic directorate, with secure hospital, prison health, and community treatment provision.
She has a national profile for her work with high risk sex offenders, personality disorder and violence, and is author of three books and over 40 publications on these subjects. She advises on complex cases, works with the Parole Board on serious incident reviews, and is an external examiner for the Forensic Doctorate at Nottingham University. In 2016, she was appointed as Chair of the Grendon (prison therapeutic community) Advisory Panel, and as Consultant Advisor across the south of England offender personality disorder pathways service.
