Dundee Women’s Festival – Gendering Crime Fiction by Rachel Marsh
This event is organised by Lifelong Learning Dundee
This lecture and discussion will investigate gender roles in crime fiction by questioning the genre’s representation of
masculinity and femininity. The talk will ask if perceptions of gender in relation to the reconstruction of the detective, the perpetrator, and the victim have changed over the history of crime fiction, and we will ask if this has any correlation to the abundance of female mystery writers currently being published. Presented by Rachel Marsh.
