Applied Quantitative Methods Network will host its first PhD Conference on Monday 16th May. The title of the Conference is "Generating New Knowledge through Quantitative Approaches to Social Science" and it aims to allow PhD students from across Scotland to showcase their research and demonstrate their use of different types of quantitative method. The event will be opened with a keynote address from Professor Ian Diamond, Vice Chancellor of the University of Aberdeen and former Chief Executive of the ESRC. The date for submission of abstracts is now closed, but PhD students may still apply to attend the conference by going to the AQMeN website: http://aqmen.ac.uk/events/2011PhDConference.
