Biography: José A. Brandariz is an associate professor of criminal law and criminology at the University of A Coruna, Spain. He is an associate editor of the European Journal of Criminology and a former member of the executive board of the European Society of Criminology (2016-2019).
This event is part of The Social Analysis of Penality Across Boundaries – Workshop Series has been organised in partnership between the Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research and the Crime and Society Program of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral in Argentina.
This workshop series aims to bring together a wide range of current work from around the world on aspects of penal politics, policies, practices and institutions. We hope to continue to expand the scope for comparative analysis of penal questions, and to stimulate cross-regional collaboration and exchange between scholars north and south.
