10th July 2024

In July 2024 the British Criminology Conference will be hosted by the University of Strathclyde, right in the heart the welcoming and lively city of Glasgow. This will be the first time in almost 20 years that the conference will be in Scotland. While Strathclyde will be the official host, we see this as an occasion to share the richness, criticality and diversity of the kind of criminology we do here across the SCCJR institutions.
The theme of BSC24 is Criminology in Times of Transition, and we want to ask questions that critically engage with ideas surrounding what criminology is? Whose voices are heard and represented? Who it is for? We hope that this speaks to many of the shared interests and passions across our SCCJR community and that it can resonate with the wider criminological community. With a diverse and dynamic series of keynote speakers, activities and entertainment planned, BSC2024 is set to be intellectually stimulating, and fun.
