Programme Director for the PG Diploma Policing Studies
Lynn has been a social worker for more than 25 years working both in the UK and Australia. HJr last practice role was with the Australian Childhood Foundation, where she was the National Clinical Services Manager with responsibility for providing a range of highly specialised therapeutic interventions for children and young people who had experienced abuse and trauma. Prior to her work in Australia she worked for various local authorities as a social worker and manager. She was also the team leader for a sex offender intervention programme in Dundee.
Currently sje is the programme director for the MSc Applied Professional Studies, and the PG Certificates in Child Care and Protection, Adult Care and Protection at the University of Dundee. She is also the Programme Director of the SIPR PG Diploma Policing Studies, which is a collaborative programme hosted by the University of Dundee but delivered by the universities of Glasgow, St Andrews, West of Scotland and the Robert Gordon University.
Lynn is interested in child protection education, children with problem sexual behaviours and interpersonal violence. She is working towards completing her doctorate including a review of social policy for sex offenders in Scotland. She has an interest in criminal justice research and an interest in professional education, particularly police and social work education.
