Lecturer in Law
Jenny has a background in Law (University of Newcastle Upon Tyne) and Criminal Justice Studies (MA from the University of Leeds) and Legal Practice (Diploma from Leeds Metropolitan University).
She has worked in practice, as a para-legal, in the area of family law and as a volunteer case-worker at a Law Centre in the areas of family, housing, and welfare law. She is currently a lecturer at Newcastle Law School, having previously worked at the University of Glasgow and University of Sheffield.
Her research interests span criminal justice, youth justice, human rights, restorative justice, legal profession, civil justice and provision of legal services (including public funding). She worked previously as a Research Associate at Leeds University on a variety of projects looking at the use of information technology by the legal profession, legal education and training and legal aid.
