Dr Moses Montesh

Moses was born in Pretoria, South Africa in 1968. After completing matric he joined the South African Police Service, where he served in various portfolisions including functional policing, training, crime prevention as well as labour relations.

After 11 years, he joined The University of South Africa as a senior lecturer in February 2004. He completed his PHD in 2007, focusing on various investigative institutions within the South African Criminal Justice System. He looked at whether South Africa is in a position to have so many investigative institutions that tend to duplicate functions, especially the SCORPIONS.

He has appeared in both print and electronic media debating issues affecting the criminal justice system, and has presented papers at international and national conferences.
