Dr Carla Cesaroni
Carla’s research seeks to examine the stress and adjustment of incarcerated individuals. For the last two decades she has studied the experiences of adolescents in secure detention and serving custodial sentences. She has recently received a Canadian federal grant to do a cross national comparison of incarcerated young people (18 – 24) in Scottish versus Canadian prisons. Carla is currently conducting interviews at Polmont prison with the assistant of the Scottish Prison Service.
