About

Claire is Knowledge Exchange Coordinator at SCCJR which involves facilitating the exchange of knowledge between those working in  SCCJR, academics, policy makers, practitioners, the press and public.  Claire works with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure that the research undertaken and produced by SCCJR is informed by their knowledge, experiences and needs. Claire also works to ensure research findings and outputs produced by SCCJR are shared with key audiences in appropriate formats and in a timely fashion.  

Claire has previously worked in research and knowledge exchange at the Scottish Local Government Improvement Service and the Scottish Government.   Throughout her career Claire has been involved in supporting and promoting the use of research in policy and practice. She has experience of conducting, designing and managing a range of social research projects.  These have been on various topics, including, the customer experience,  working across boundaries , information management, civil justice, devolution and policy making.   Claire also has experience of facilitating and supporting networks and communities. 

Claire is particularly interested in ideas about nurturing communities and networks, knowledge management, supporting the use of evidence in policy and practice and developing practice and policy informed research.
