This project was conducted in collaboration with Bill McKinlay, the Governor of HMP Barlinnie, and staff at Polmont YOI. Data collection builds upon similar surveys conducted by Bill during 1979 and 1996. The Scottish Prison Service published the report of the project in 2009.
