Want to work with SCCJR? We’re hiring!

stirlingThe University of Stirling is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to work on The Community Impact of Serious Organised Crime, a project running between January 2017 and January 18. The research is to be undertaken by a team of researchers from three institutions – the University of Stirling, the University of Glasgow, the University of Abertay – as well as community development specialists drawn from the Scottish Community Development Centre.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant topic, or near to completion (or using relevant methods), or have equivalent (extensive) research experience.

glasgiowThe University of Glasgow is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Criminology to join a vibrant group of criminological scholars and postgraduates working within the Sociology subject area in the School of Social and Political Sciences, who are also part of the Scottish Centre for Crime and Justice Research (SCCJR).

Applications from scholars with expertise in the following areas are particularly encouraged: transnational crime/justice; policing and crime control; security and surveillance; border criminology; and global and comparative criminology.

The successful candidate will provide academic leadership by undertaking world-leading research and knowledge exchange; generate externally funded research grant applications; and meet the University’s objectives in relation to the delivery of excellent learning, teaching and student experience in the area of Criminology.
