Dr Laura Robertson
Laura completed her PhD, titled A Practice-based Approach to Youth Justice: The Whole System Approach in Scotland, based at the SCCJR in 2017. Her research explored the implementation of the Whole System Approach in Scotland, specifically the perspectives of practitioners and policy actors on multi-agency decision-making processes. This research provided a unique case study on the implications of increased local autonomy in youth justice and explored how new multi-agency modes of working under the Whole System Approach led to the sharing of expertise in decision-making.
Laura is currently a Research Associate at the Centre for Child and Family Justice Research at Lancaster University, involved in a project seeking to improve the generation and application of research in the family justice system.
